a) Identity Card

It is mandatory that the students must carry their institutional identity cards during the institute hours and will produce those to the concerned official on demand. This ID card can be obtained from the Admin. Office on payment of Rs.300/-. In case of lost, a duplicate identity card can be obtained for Rs. 500/-

b) Use of Library Books

Students must produce Library a Card to the Librarian while entering the Library. This Library Card will be issued by the Librarian's office on payment of Rs.200/-. All the students are expected to be very careful about the usage of library books. They are not allowed to take books without getting them issued in their names. Books should be returned within a stipulated time period. A fine of Rs.50/- per day per book will be charged if books are returned late. A damaged or defaced book shall not be accepted to be returned. Instead thereto, the borrower will have either to arrange & provide the same new book or to pay the price in an equal amount as per market rate.

c) Use of Labs Material

Students are expected to be very careful while using Lab equipment/apparatus. In case it is established that the equipment or apparatus or glassware is spoiled either deliberately or due to recklessness, then the concerned student shall be liable to pay price in equal to damaged material as per market rate.

d) Attendance

Students shall strictly fulfill at least 75% attendance requirement to sit in the examination. Moreover, a fine of Rs.100/- shall be imposed for leave which is availed without submitting an application or intimation to the office of the HOD.

e) Fee/Dues

i. Institute fee and other dues shall be paid on the date(s) as prescribed. A fine of Rs.100/- per day shall be charged after the due date upto, 15-days after due date. However, after 15-days, her/her name would be expelled. however, Such student can apply for readmission within 10-days of the date of expulsion subject to eligibility and payment of all dues / fine etc.

ii. Dues once paid are neither refundable nor transferable in any case.

iii. Institute has the right to increase fee structure at any time, without assigning any reason thereto, and all the students will comply the same.

iv. In case a student is enjoying merit or need-based or, likewise scholarship, then he/she shall have to score and maintain his/her examination record, as prescribed, and has to maintain regularity/punctuality and discipline, as required. In case of any contradiction, the said scholarship shall be withdrawn without giving any notice.

f) Regulations for Examinations and Promotion to Higher Class

i. The medium of instruction and examination will be English except for the Pakistan Studies, Islamiyat / Ethics and Translation of the Quran with an option for the candidates to take the examination in Urdu.

ii. The Examination for the degree of Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) shall consist of five professional examinations, titled First Professional, Second Professional, Third Professional, Fourth Professional and Final Professional Examination. Respective Professional Examinations shall be held twice a year, termed as 1st examination and 2nd Annual (Supplementary) examination.

ii. The Examination for the degree of Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) shall consist of five professional examinations, titled First Professional, Second Professional, Third Professional, Fourth Professional and Final Professional Examination. Respective Professional Examinations shall be held twice a year, termed as 1st examination and 2nd Annual (Supplementary) examination.

iii. The minimum number of marks required to pass the professional examination for each subject shall be fifty percent (50%) in theory and fifty percent (50%) in the Practical Examination.

iv. A candidate who passes one or more papers but fails in the annual examination shall, if he/she so desires, can provisionally be allowed to join the next higher class till the commencement of supplementary examination. The candidate, however, shall have to pass the failed paper(s) in the supplementary examination and, in case of failure, the candidate shall be appeared till the last/final chance of the class in which he / she was failed.

v. A candidate who could not pass First Professional Examination in FIVE consecutive chances, availed or un-availed, after becoming eligible for First Professional Examination shall cease to become eligible for further education in Pharmacy.

vi. A candidate who passes all papers at one attempt as fresh and secures eighty percent (80%) or above marks in any subject, then he/she will be eligible for the award of “distinction” in that particular subject. However, a candidate who, although secures 80% or above marks in any subject but can not pass all subjects of that Professional Examination at one attempt will not be eligible for the award of distinction.

vii. The Professional Examination shall be open to any student who has completed one-year academic courses in the said professional examination and completed 75% of the lectures in Theory and Practical classes.

viii. Every candidate shall forward to the Controller of Examinations his/her application for admission to the examination as per schedule before the commencement of the examination accompanied by the prescribed fee through the Executive Director/HOD office of IRASP.

ix. If the Examination Admission Form along with fee of any candidate is not received within the due date(s) prescribed with single fee, then such candidate can also submit the Examination Admission Form with double or triple fee as prescribed at the time by the University. However, after the expiry of the last date with tripple fee, then no Form will be entertained.

The student shall have to pay examination fee as prescribed by the University for each professional and each attempt.

xi. A result card will be issued by Controller of Examinations to each Candidate after declaration of Official Notification of Result.

xii. Rules for rechecking, offenses, and penalties on account of use of unfair means etc. shall be in accordance with the Regulations for Examinations prescribed by Bahaudin Zakariya University Multan.

xiii. These rules/regulations are incorporated as provided under Pharm-D Examination rules 2005 and BZU examination rules. However, time-to-time amendments to the rules by these authorities will be applicable and IRASP management will not be responsible in this regard.

Note: Any of the rules can be revoked or changed at any time by the competent authority and all the concerned will comply the same.

Extra-Curricular Activities

All the students of the Institute are supposed to participate / attend extra-curricular activities or events arranged by the institute and should pay their contribution in this regard, if required. Sincere co-operation of the parents is earnestly sought in this matter.
